Greetings and Salutations!

I am Coboney and I will be interviewing members of magic-league of note for the sites profile feature over the next little bit. Today, we have frequent trial competitor and winner Kabelis!

Cob: Please Introduce yourself.
Kabelis: Hey, my name is Modestas Malakauskas also known as Kabelis

Cob: Where are you from ?
Kabelis: I'm from Lithuania, Siauliai city

Cob: So how long have you been playing magic? When did you start ?
Kabelis I remember that I started playing during Zendikar block, not entirely sure which set it was. I just know it was BBE vs Jace era :P So that would be about 4 years ago

Cob: What brought you to Magic-League? How long have you been a member?
Kabelis: I used to play YGO online when I was like 15 (I know, I am very ashamed of myself) and wanted to try out another card game since I got bored of it. I'd heard of Magic, but didn't know how to get into it. One day I basically googled for a way to play Magic online for free and found the site :P
Been playing ever since. So I more or less started my Magic "career" here.

Cob: Neat. So, what are your favourite things about Magic-league?
Kabelis: Card availability not being a concern is a huge deal. Because of that everyone will mostly play good decks which, as a competitive player, I like a lot. The staff is great, the tournaments are run smoothly and judges are always there to settle disputes. Just a good environment to play Magic

Cob: If you could change one thing about Magic-league what would it be?
I don't really have any concerns at the moment, trials used to be late sometimes, but that hasn't been the case lately :P So can't think of anything

So changing gears back to magic :)
Cob: What would you say is your favourite magic card?
Kabelis: As weird as it may seem, I think it might be Dungrove Elder. I like my big dumb monsters and Elder is the perfect one - it protects itself, gets bigger as time goes on and also commits you to mono-forests which I have a soft spot for.

Cob: What are your favourite type of decks?
Kabelis: Green aggro decks is what I mostly used to play and still do to this day. I very rarely play any kind of control strategy, it just isn't my thing I guess :P

Cob: What is your favourite format?
Kabelis: It's probably Legacy. I play it very rarely and don't have much overall knowledge, but it has everything you want in a good format, there are a lot of subtle decisions to make and there are dozens of competitive decks.

Cob: What do you think is the most important skill for a magic player to have?
Kabelis: It's a close call between mechanical play skill and deck selection/reading the metagame correctly. I really can't decide so let's leave it at that :P
Cob: To people who pick up your decks - what advice would you have for them?
Kabelis: Please use at your own discretion, I am not responsible for any losses.

Cob: Anything you want to add?
Kabelis: Shoutout to the guys at "Daiskardas"! I may come to another prelelease at some point :P

Coboney: Thanks for your time!
Kabelis: Thanks for taking the time to interview me :P

That’s it for this time. If you have anyone you would like to see profiled, or questions you’d like asked, please comment below or contact me on IRC!
