I've got a PTQ coming up on the 30th of this month, and I've been thinking about various decks that I could use for the Block event. I personally don't really like netdecking, even though it would probably be far easier on myself. So, I came up with this deck, and was wondering if you fine folks could potentially give me some feedback on potential bad match-ups the deck may have. Constructive or destructive criticism, whichever.
[Lands: 30]
4x Fetid Heath
4x Reflecting Pool
4x Vivid Marsh
4x Vivid Meadow
5x Plains
5x Swamp
[Creatures: 22]
3x Soul Snuffers
2x Grim Poppet
2x Scarecrone
3x Shriekmaw
4x Canker Abomination
2x Demigod of Revenge
[Spells: 10]
3x Unmake
3x Makeshift Mannequin
2x Oblivion Ring
2x Turn to Mist
[Sideboard: 15]
3x Runed Halo
4x Beckon Apparition
4x Crib Swap
2x Demigod of Revenge
2x Oblivion Ring
Obviously, the Scarecrone and Grim Poppet interaction is really nice for removal and the card draw that the deck otherwise lacks. Soul Snuffers obviously helps against Bitterblossom. Canker Abomination I feel is an underrated card myself, especially with Mannequin and Turn to Mist. The Demigods are obviously there for the late game finish.
Runed Halo is in SB for Oona, and potentially Chameleon Colossus, should I be unable to remove it. Crib Swaps for more spot removal, should I need it. The Apparitions are for any Lark decks that I may see...and yeah, that's about it. Fire away. |

I don't think you need vivid lands/Reflecting Pool in a 2 colored deck. It can't do anything but hinder it.
I also think Crib Swap main is necessary. Colossus rolls over you.
Bitterblossom is really good in control, by the way. If I were to run Demigod, I would NEVER run 2. I would run 4.
Canker Abomination is horrible. There are much better choices. Not too much use for Mannequin. |

| 30 land is a bit much. cut the vivids and you should be fine. Halo's should be main they're too good to ignore for this deck. Crib swap is a good suggestion as colossus is widly played. demigod should be 4 or none and maybe profane command should be considered. |

So, perhaps then, something more like this:
[Lands: 24]
4x Fetid Heath
4x Reflecting Pool
8x Plains
8x Swamp
[Creatures: 14]
3x Soul Snuffers
2x Grim Poppet
2x Scarecrone
3x Shriekmaw
4x Demigod of Revenge
[Spells: 22]
3x Unmake
3x Makeshift Mannequin
2x Oblivion Ring
2x Turn to Mist
4x Crib Swap
3x Runed Halo
2x Profane Command
3x Beseech the Queen
[Sideboard: 15]
4x Beckon Apparition
2x Divinity of Pride
2x Oblivion Ring
4x Bitterblossom
3x Austere Command |

I would lose the Mannequin, or at least cut it to 2.
4 Crib Swap, 3 Unmake, and 2 Oblivion Ring is a little excessive, Turn to Mist and Profane Commant Seem bad...
Hmm...
-2 Oblivion Ring
-2 Crib Swap
+3 Austere Command
-2 Turn to Mist
-2 Profane Commant
+3 Nameless Inversion
+2 Archon of Justice
-4 Reflecting Pool
+2 Plains
+2 Swamp
I'm also not sure how effective Bessech would be with such a heavy white manabase... |

| Use 4 Demigods, cut the vivids to 2 or 3 apiece, keep the reflecting pools and for gods sake cut a lot of plains for Swamps. You don't need WWW, but you sure as fuck need BBBBB if you want to cast those demi's. |

| I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has already said, but I do have one thing to add. Why aren't you running Stillmoon Cavalier? Hes pretty solid. Hes good against Faeries and Kithkin in block. And word has it those deck are pretty popular. Red is the only thing with removal to hit him. Hes at least a 2 of in the SB, if not MD. |

Needs mutavault x4, inversion x4, dusk urchins x4, oona x1-2, archon x2-3
It pains me to say it but mono black really has almost no game against faeries. A combination of thoughtseize/raven's crime might help you out there as well.
Doesn't need scarecrone, poppet, turn to mist, beseech. |

| Did no one else notice that there were actually 26 lands and 16 creatures, making the deck only 52 cards...? |
