For one thing, can you do it? My girlfriend just got a laptop, its a macbook, i don't know much about it except i think it runs on OS X.
I'd like to know if it can be done, how to do it, and any tips or something like that.
Thanks Mws |

| Knowing how to run MWS in Ubuntu and Linux would be useful, too. |

| using the latest version of DarWine. you can run MWS and even play. However the things discussed in the MWS on Linux threads that were wrong with old versions of wine, are wrong on DarWine. Cards have no borders, display upside-down in MWSplay, etc. |

| DarWine is for Mac OS X (which was originally named Darwin, being an evolution from BSD). |

| Look up Darwine, it'll work with anything as far as I know. Like I said, it won't be perfect. but it will run |

As I asked for in the other thread as well I would like to help but need to know your configuration and which version of wine you have installed. Also I would like to know what problems you currently have so I try to solve it. Other then your general question It is the same way as always in linux. The only platforms I can test on here are Fedora Core and Gentoo. I do not have a third box installed in which I can test things out. I also can check if there are additional patches for gentoo which causes the fixes but then I still need to know your system/wine configuration which includes wine configuration and possible video drivers since I do not know nor can know if MWS uses any video card calls to render things (which I suspect it does)..
If I do not get answers/information or atleast get what I asked for I can not help, simple as that..
As for a MAC, try the latest version of DarWine is all I can say.. |

| I am planning on formatting my laptop and get Kubuntu installed into it. Don't know anything else, but any advice would be appreciated. The biggest issue that I have with installing any linux distribution is being able to properly use MWS, simple as that. Can you help me? |

| At this point all I can say is install the latest version of wine and then just install mws, also use the latest version of your video driver to be on the safe side.. |

I DL-ed DarWine and then DL-ed MWS but the .exe file wouldn't open.
I got an error
"Unable to locate X11.app. Make sure X11 has been installed." |
