Judge Test Reset

And, the moment you’ve all anticipated: the post-M10 rules change judge test reset. All users should be thankful for niknight’s efforts to update the judge test, and for CMA-Flippi’s work reviewing the test.

There are a few requirements that must be fulfilled before you can take the judge test:
  • Have been registered at least 30 days in the League.

  • Have played in at least 3 tournaments.

  • Not requested a test since the last reset.

I will reiterate Laplie’s timeless advice to STUDY for the judge test. Randomly taking the judge test while other distractions are around or without a strong knowledge of the rules is not always conducive to passing.

I will also emphasize the following:
  • We will mark answers that only contain a number or a “yes/no” as incorrect; please explain your answer completely.

  • Do not provide more information than is necessary to answer the question; only the relevant information is desired in your answer.

  • We DO NOT distribute the answers or the questions after the test. We WILL NOT tell you what questions you answered incorrectly. Do not ask for any of those.

  • No outside materials means: NO RULEBOOKS, NO OTHER PEOPLE, NO ONLINE SEARCHES, NO ANYTHING EXCEPT YOUR RULES KNOWLEDGE

  • Your answer is expected to be coherent; otherwise, we reserve the right to mark answers we cannot decipher as incorrect. Inability to understand your answer to a question is indicative that your ability to deliver rulings clearly is poor.

If you pass the judge test, try to be online and to speak to a judge manager/director about training. Going AWOL after passing the judge test creates difficulties for us and may result in loss of training.

do NOT by any means submit your results with 2 skipped questions when you have 10 minutes left.. sorry for the whine but I'm PISSED.. got 6/10.. if I didn't accidentally submit I could've passeeeed omg

Is it possible for me to just get a list of the questions along with my answers, without telling me whether I got them wrong or right?

I'm not dead set about wanting to be a judge, but I do like to educate myself about the rules whenever possible.
