Upcoming Master and RFT Trial Sets |

| As some of you have noticed, the calendar has two tournament Formats listed that were not played (in trials/masters) on magic-league before.
June 27, we hold a Random Format Tournament Trial. (RFT). RFT is a dynamic format. When it's done as small tournament (mini), you have 1 hour time to built a deck. The cardpool for that are seven randomly generated sets(2 Big, 4 Small, 1 Core), with the Legacy banlist applied to it. For the Saturday, we will randomly decide the sets legal for the trial on Friday! June 28, we hold another Master with two formats. This time, we split the Swiss portion into two halves. The Master starts with 4 rounds Sealed followed by 3 rounds Standard. Then, a cut to Top8 will be done where the finalists battle for the trophy with their Standard(T2) decks. Bushviper on 2009-06-20 12:51 EST I will be TCing so I will tell you all byes will be taken in the sealed portion of the tournament. In a perfect world we might split them up between formats if you had to byes however there is no way to do thins in the program we use for off site tournaments.

Bushviper on 2009-06-21 16:10 EST First off, at the moment, with the technology we have available right now, Top 8 drafts are VERY hard to do because there is no easy way to make sure each player's security code match. Second of all, we wanted to make a tournament where everyone has the opportunity to play multiple formats, not just the top 8. Lastly, sorry Zapgaze but I can't run it on Saturday, however, you can play in the Saturday RFT trial! :P
