Upcoming May 31th Invitational

In mid-April, we announced a temporary deactivation of the judge panels and deleted the master(s) from the calendar. After that, we made some changes on the homepage, some of which weren't even noticed by you. For example, we removed the downloads of MWS and Apprentice softwares and disabled the guides for those programs. We also removed artwork of the copyrighted Magic: the Gathering cards, as we are not allowed to use that intellectual property of Wizards of the Coast.

Few days later, as you can read in the post "C&D news + changes", we made it clear that we continue running tournaments. This includes the "Masters" we previously held every two weeks. The last master took place over 1 month ago.. so it's about time again !

So now, I am happy to announce there will be a huge Invitational on May 31th. Huge ? The tournament will allow more players than ever to join and we spend 200 USD for prizes.

What do I have to do to participate?
Any player who could make it to the finals of one of the daily "Trials" is invited. (Since April 6th) Also, the top50 players rated in our constructed and limited categories and the top25 rated players of the categories eternal and other are invited. Be sure to be active, because before the ratings cut an activity check will be done to remove inactive accounts from the ratings to ensure that there are no slots taken by inactive players.

The Master will, similar to the Pro Tour, contain 2 formats. The first part, played with Swiss pairing method, is played in the format Alara Block Constructed. When that portion of the tournament is finished, the Top8 players will participate in a Alara/Conflux/Reborn draft and then determine a Winner in single-elimination mode.
