by Azania on 2008-08-13 16:34 EST
There is now a guide posted for running Magic Workstation on Linux.

http://www.magic-league.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=99606

Basically with this we now also officially support MWS for on Linux. Should any questions or issues arise you can either contact me or post it in the MWS forum.

Edit: after running from KDE4 there were no flaws to be seen Wine version 1.1.2 or later is needed for no flaws..

....

Clicked on the link with high hopes, but it was just a tutorial on how to use Wine.

Someone should try to make a Java version of MWS.

@gunner5, that won't be possible, MWS is not open source so we can not simple port and reprogram is something I rather not do, also since the security coding is unknown and would take a long time to decompile..

edit: yes it is a small tutorial telling you to run it with wine. But that is all there is too it, not everyone might know it though, you never know ;)

Looks good, but with the issues I'll just stick to VMWare for now. Thanks for the update, though...it certainly seems better than it was.

Already stepping up to the plate I like it.
