Potential Connection Problems

by Gerrardfo on 2008-04-11 16:19 EDT
In the next few days, users might experience problems with connecting to the solidirc network. In case of problems with connecting to the server, try the following IP addresses:
ds9.solidirc.com: 78.31.71.67
starfleet.solidirc.com: 83.246.120.103

Addendum: From Phantomal (and posted on www.solidirc.com):
"i want to tell you, that SolidIRC is getting a new Infrastructure. This means in detail that we just got new DNS Servers and that our Website and Forum moved to a new Webserver. The DNS Infos may need up to 48 hours to be visible to everyone of you. So if you have a Problem connecting to the IRC Servers, please try to use one of the following IP Adresses:

ds9.solidirc.com = 78.31.71.67
starfleet.solidirc.com = 83.246.120.103"

But why!?

by nico on 2008-04-12 04:24 EDT

Is that interesting? The main thing is that we are aware of the problems that may occur, and we have a workaround. If you want more information, you best ask the operators in #solidirc. We are only using their network.

by Circa on 2008-04-12 21:03 EDT

Okay, you do not type the names in, you type in /server (IP Address)....

by zow2747 on 2008-04-12 21:23 EDT

by stone_d on 2008-04-13 03:35 EDT

Click "chat & play room"
then choose any room and press connect.
You should get the "connect to null" message. Then u type:
/server 78.31.71.67
or
/server 83.246.120.103

by BusDriver on 2008-04-16 11:00 EDT
