Go Ozzy!

by Kytep on 2009-11-06 20:18 EST

Wow; not sure whether to call it "Planeswalkers" or "Elves". Kinda cool though that it's ALL perms - only creatures and Planeswalkers. Only maindeck removal is Chandra.

Congrats, Oyzar! Pretty cool deck; how did it play? What changes would you make? It will be interesting to see how much staying power it has.

For those who may be interested, here are the matchups Oyzar and his deck faced today (Oyzar's rating was 1661 at the start of the Trial):

Round - Player (Rating) - Deck type

1 - cherubino (1584) - 5C Cascade
2 - eb52 (1423) - Tramp
3 - Dyno (1579) - Tramp
4 - Ayako (1612) - Emeria
5 - Odintu (1629) - Jund
6 - firl21 (1635) - Jund

oyzar's deck is brutal. I've never been destroyed quite _that_ badly.

His mana ramp is faster than Tramp's (which is impressive) so there's no way I can possibly get out an Iona or Sphinx before he has the battlefield presence needed to win. My only chance is to get off a DoJ and then get out an Iona or Sphinx the following turn; and I don't run DoJ main (although I'm seriously considering putting at least two main now).

Kinda bummed that I had to meet him in round 3. I was having fun beating jund decks. :(

by EMerbaum on 2009-11-06 23:06 EST

no love for broodmate less jund deck.? btw that final round was a blow out. a 4/4 creature evry turn is imposile to keep up with

by IvanDano on 2009-11-06 23:16 EST

He hosts and wins it! FIXED LoL Grats!

by EMerbaum on 2009-11-06 23:22 EST

fixed. i should have won. VERY tOUGH MATCH FOR JUND. i dont know if its even winnable

by TheWatery on 2009-11-07 00:17 EST

Bleh, I would have loved to play against these decks. Went 3-0 Drop with Mono-W Aggro playing 40 Permanents, 20 Lands. One win was a no-show, but my other two matches weree Esper Mill and Crypt Combo, but Jund would've been a fun matchup. Nice first place list, more power to the permanent decks : )

by Epilogue on 2009-11-07 01:30 EST

thank you oyzar for not letting a Jund deck win

by EMerbaum on 2009-11-07 02:04 EST

agreed with epolouge. if i won it would be the 90-10 game for him. jund shou, dent win that match

by cherubino on 2009-11-07 04:57 EST

is the 3° time on 3 that i loose in the first 3 games with the winner of the trial...

by Lynolf on 2009-11-07 05:43 EST

Even with Lorwyn Block out, elves still rulle! XD

by Shagrath on 2009-11-07 08:02 EST

T2 is garbage atm.

by MitchMachine on 2009-11-07 09:08 EST

how many of you got owned by karthus?

by Krastino on 2009-11-07 09:11 EST

Aren't 3 Pulse too many maindeck? I mean, aren't they bad in the mirror match? Isn't Terminate better?

by EMerbaum on 2009-11-07 13:00 EST

in mirror pulse stops the tharnx tokens witch is a issue. also i side out terminate for death marks.

also. one game. he goes brood mate. i got kthyrus gg

by Mind_Game on 2009-11-07 13:12 EST

Wow, Jund that kills Jund and still top 4's. I like the elf list!

by ycedi on 2009-11-09 21:37 EST

I would like to play vs the elves but had a bad run against another jund Still congrats It seems like another very solid deck is out maybe no more 5/6 jund in this trials
