Pikanso on 2009-09-29 20:57 EDT I not understand this combo
by SaTiVa on 2009-09-29 21:03 EDT my deck is horrible i made it in like 5 mins ... combo is 1 card u play scapeshift when u have 7 + lands out then u get valakut and 6 x mountains and bam thats 18 damage should kill if not sac 8 and get 2nd Valakut and bam 36 by Qamiqaze on 2009-09-29 21:20 EDT or in sjeps' version, you can also scapeshift out a dark depths and hexmage it into marit lage. by kfcman on 2009-09-29 21:29 EDT Unless I'm totally missing something, what if the deck doesn't have enough mountains left in it to do the damage?
by wiltstorm on 2009-09-29 21:51 EDT im surprised that this combo made 2 out the top4....
by Pikanso on 2009-09-29 22:40 EDT my deck is horrible i made it in like 5 mins ... combo is 1 card u play scapeshift when u have 7 + lands out then u get valakut and 6 x mountains and bam thats 18 damage should kill if not sac 8 and get 2nd Valakut and bam 36
by jonproject on 2009-09-29 23:09 EDT @ Pikanso: you get 6+ lands in play, cast Scapeshift, then fetch Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle plus some number of mountains and deal 3 at will.
by ChuckNorris on 2009-09-30 00:01 EDT I'm sorry, but that combo is such complete trash. by Conkisstador on 2009-09-30 01:12 EDT the BG version is misbuilt with only 6 mountains. hexmage -dark depths is a much stronger interaction.
by Arkham on 2009-09-30 01:26 EDT Sativa, what did i tell you??? You were going to do top. I was surprised against him and when he played Scapeshift my face turned into other in the second game... Against me, he played very very intelligent his deck. ChuckNorris, when you have a pact of negation, a a remand, and your opponent plays all with boseiju, you cant do anything. I'm sure because i suffered it. by corbox on 2009-09-30 03:07 EDT Scapeshift combo ?? Interesting to see a deck completely thrashed by a single trickbind ... Anyway we must admit this is quite of inventive ! by PenguinSlave on 2009-09-30 03:39 EDT very nice by sjeps on 2009-09-30 06:31 EDT i think my deck is pretty decent since it's very flexible
by Duodax on 2009-09-30 07:02 EDT There is always greater /power/ failure
by sjeps on 2009-09-30 07:07 EDT answering kfcman you need only 3 mountains in the deck to kill the opponent.
by -DK- on 2009-09-30 07:41 EDT add the new green cipt rare land from zen to make finks infi in the gb hexscape deck by sjeps on 2009-09-30 08:08 EDT you mean oran-rief? i'll try it, ty for suggestion.
by Shagrath on 2009-09-30 09:49 EDT "4-color Bant"... nice name lol. by HPB_Eggo on 2009-09-30 10:33 EDT Is there a reason these Scapeshift decks aren't running Prismatic Omen? It seems like making every land you play a mountain would be pretty strong...
by SaTiVa on 2009-09-30 10:39 EDT 1 Vala is not always enough as multiple ppl tried to gain little bits of life .. guess they didnt know i could deal them 36 with 1 more land... even killed a person with 20+ life and a martyr of sands in play by mikulas on 2009-09-30 11:11 EDT Good Job Stein!! Congrats! ;) by prometheus on 2009-09-30 12:15 EDT The depths/valakut deck does have exactly enough mountains to win... if you get both valakuts. As long as ghost quarter and stone rain aren't seeing play, then 6 mtn/2 valakut is the right number.
by sjeps on 2009-09-30 14:11 EDT i try to play them asap if i draw them. and of course they arent useless since are also green or black.
by Shooter on 2009-09-30 14:39 EDT lolnobob by Conkisstador on 2009-09-30 14:56 EDT 1 valakut and 8 mountains is 1 more land total but 1 less dead land (val). the 8 mountains tap for colors. 7 land scapeshift is enough by Shooter on 2009-09-30 15:36 EDT valakut taps for red :( by fortuna on 2009-09-30 16:20 EDT Scapeshift does not lose against trickbind, it just deals 3 less by metzel_usa on 2009-09-30 17:29 EDT At least the good list hasnt leaked yet :/ kind of missing a color but whatever by TaKK on 2009-09-30 18:01 EDT Yeah these Scapeshift lists are pretty bad... by adamdinho on 2009-10-01 04:37 EDT the absolute worst. by Mr_DoomZ on 2009-10-02 12:44 EDT Grats Sjeps! we had an extremely close game I didnt see the scapeshift win anywhere on my radar >_< Spectacular combo! by sjeps on 2009-10-02 15:04 EDT ty, i agree it was a great game, i hope we'll play again by gmoney on 2009-10-03 07:00 EDT btw hexmage can block stack first strike and then sac |
