In this trial I played my first ever vintage game!

GO PORTUGAL AND TEAM PORTUGUESE MAFIA!!!

by CalebD on 2009-06-12 18:17 EDT

How depressing. Not only did I forget about the trial, but I woke to find this...

by GFSS on 2009-06-12 18:24 EDT

GO PORTUGAL AND TEAM PORTUGUESE MAFIA!!! <3
go tugay :P

by wilier on 2009-06-12 18:29 EDT

GO GO GO TUGOD :D

Pt's owning all ml, all formats jajajaj

Portuguese Mafia 1st once more <3

by Trotsky1 on 2009-06-12 18:30 EDT

Were never going to here the end of this ever:P

by Gerr on 2009-06-12 18:34 EDT

Rules changing and Portuguese players taking over ML? What's this world coming to?

by wilier on 2009-06-12 18:37 EDT

AZIA? RENIE

by IkeReilly on 2009-06-12 18:45 EDT

I'm 4rd? LOL

by DS_McWerp on 2009-06-12 18:47 EDT

That is a sad sad dredge list. I wish I hadnt had to eat dinner and coulda won this with a good ich list...

by wilier on 2009-06-12 19:02 EDT

Desires.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-12 19:55 EDT

If this was a t2 trial and I was making the comment DS is making about the winning deck changing dredge for faeries or another t2 deck that I have tested, hordes of furious nerds would be attacking me in the next comments. Instead this is a vintage trial which I am very bad and I'll have to say that the list is probably bad because of my lack of knowledge of vintage.

by Indelicato on 2009-06-12 20:15 EDT

If only I remembered about this. I'm probable one of the actually decent t1 players here...

by LordLink on 2009-06-12 20:25 EDT

The point is none of you did play so us crap vintage players won.

See, this is the fundamental flaw in Vintage... its shit so no-one plays it. When you have a 21-man trial any deck can win it.

by Flaxh on 2009-06-12 21:04 EDT

by Gerr on 2009-06-12 23:34 GMT

Rules changing and Portuguese players taking over ML? What's this world coming to?

Yes, get used to it xD

Well, this is prolly the worse that can happen to m-l:

TugayChamp, the dickhead we all love, winning a trial </3

by Egnirys on 2009-06-12 22:26 EDT

Lord Link why couldn't you have won it for the aussies :( Ah well, gratz anyways on 2nd!

by gypsy on 2009-06-12 23:20 EDT

i dont see why people think those decks are bad, if your so good at t1 why dont u win the trial then

by NahHolmes on 2009-06-13 01:37 EDT

Portugal isn't taking over M-L. Let me explain this real simple to you guys one more time. Less then one trial a month starts before 4:30 PM in the Western Hemisphere. Guess what happens at 4:30 PM... People with jobs get off work. You guys don't run M-L, all the smart people are busy working jobs and making money in this half of the world and don't get home in time to join over 70% of trials (add to that anyone who plays school sports or any trial before 2 EDT excludes anyone who does anything all day in the Western Hemisphere). If Portugal wins Masters they can talk, how is Portugal doing in Masters would be the question. So what's the answer?

by gribo on 2009-06-13 03:02 EDT

Isn't Lion's Eye Diamond restricted in Vintage?

by LordLink on 2009-06-13 04:18 EDT

O.o

Good catch gribo,it is indeed restricted.

What happens now?

by coldBLT on 2009-06-13 04:28 EDT

nothing happens now you can cheat if you want just dont get caught untill the tourny is over.

by DS_McWerp on 2009-06-13 05:56 EDT

Lol. Led's not even any good in that deck.

by Lynolf on 2009-06-13 07:04 EDT

Portugal is so hated that people who face Tugachampion don't even bother to see the security code of the deck, they only care about winning, and they fail miserably at doing it. XD

NaHolmes: last master two portuguese made Top8. Sorry to disappoint you.

by mtgsoldier on 2009-06-13 07:35 EDT

by HahHolmes

"If Portugal wins Masters they can talk, how is Portugal doing in Masters would be the question. So what's the answer?"

I made top8 in a Extended Master with a T2 deck.

You just got pwned, sorry im like that...

by Verdana on 2009-06-13 07:43 EDT

Nice illegal deck there sport :)

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-13 07:56 EDT

LOL? Is it restricted? I got the list from here: http://www.deckcheck.net/deck.php?id=26101

It was missing 4 cards and it was 1 minute left for the trial to start and I thought "The legacy ichorid plays 4 Lion's Eye Diamond. I guess that's what's missing." so I added those 4 and joined the trial. I didn't know it was illegal.

Anyway this just shows that those "vintage experts" like CalebD, DS_McWerp and Indelicato just came here to talk crap and didn't even notice the illegal deck, they just noticed how bad it is and how they would have easily won had they played.

I'm sorry, I didn't know Lion's Eye Diamond was restricted.

BTW NahHolmes: master times are much worse for Europeans than for Americans. Specially those 2 or 3 that started later than supposed to. Many European had to drop. So stop complainning and just face the fact that PORTUGAL>>>>>>ALL!!!

by blackcat77 on 2009-06-13 07:59 EDT

What a crock. He needs to cheat to win a Trial?

Although I do love TugaChampion and I generally agree with most of what he says. I just think its sad that a judge didn't check his list and none of his opp's said anything to him. Just shows the lack of interest in Vintage.

by Lynolf on 2009-06-13 08:03 EDT

Lordlink: I might be wrong, but MWS also checks the legality of cards in certain formats, like Vintage. Seeing the deck had 4 Diamonds, and knowing they are restricted, it would appear [???] after the security code, instead of saying T1 legal deck.

by mtgsoldier on 2009-06-13 08:05 EDT

"Just shows the lack of interest in Vintage."

People cant be interested in something that is , really, not interesting at all...

by LordLink on 2009-06-13 08:15 EDT

Whats checking the security code got to do with anything? it won't show the LED's...

Although considering TugaChampion wins by revealing his entire deck to his opponent through the graveyard, its amusing that no-one picked up on the mistake.

We all suck at Vintage. :P

by wilier on 2009-06-13 08:21 EDT

jajaja

by DS_McWerp on 2009-06-12 23:47 GMT

jajajaja

jajajajajaja

jajajajajajaja

Soo professional's at vintage and can't see that? well are the self-proclaimed Good player's... Be a litle more humble.
Now seriously was an error :/ Everyone could make it...

by wilier on 2009-06-13 08:22 EDT

Yeah i wanna troll how much i can.

by Gerr on 2009-06-13 10:34 EDT

Bragging here after winning with an illegal deck really requires amazing amount of ignorance. Portugal >>> all indeed.

by DS_McWerp on 2009-06-13 13:28 EDT

I didn't need to play. Already had my two byes. Figured dinner was more important is all :P.

by Jacois on 2009-06-13 15:11 EDT

Congrats Tuga

by RavensEffect on 2009-06-13 18:23 EDT

Atta' boy TuCheatChamp, you moron.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-13 19:27 EDT

LOL it was a mistake I didn't cheat. No one noticed so my opps and all those vintage experts commenting are the ones failing hard.

by NahHolmes on 2009-06-13 20:11 EDT

Sorry, no one with a regular job in half the world can play weekday Trials so I'd say they are better times for Europe and 2 Port. placing 6th&7th in a Master does not make you better then M-L I guess we'll see what happens today though.
Also 4x LED owns in vintage Dredge to whoever said it didn't. The main reason no one noticed is probably because the MWS deck codes haven't been updated since LED was banned so in the deck code it still shows up as a legal T1 deck.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-13 21:02 EDT

nahholmes they see the whole deck when I dredge...

Anyway today in the master 3 Portuguese top10, 2 in top8 and 1 in 2nd. GG?

by RavensEffect on 2009-06-13 23:37 EDT

Judge!

by NahHolmes on 2009-06-14 01:12 EDT

Oh man Tuga thanks for explaining that to me because I don't know how Dredge works because I just started playing Magic last week. That's why I said "the Main Reason Noone Noticed" not the only reason.
So in the last 2 Masters one Portuguese player made it to top 4? Oh man we are so owned... Jajajajaja

by SniperMayer on 2009-06-14 02:50 EDT

http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=judge/resources/sfrvintage

by mtgsoldier on 2009-06-14 04:39 EDT

"So in the last 2 Masters one Portuguese player made it to top 4? Oh man we are so owned... Jajajajaja"

No, you are owned by people that top8 extended masters with t2 deck, and people who win vintage trials with an ilegal deck after every "vintage pro" came here said they should have played instead off noticing the deck is not even legal.

That kind of things make everyone of you, the haters, fail hard, everytime you try to say that PT>>>ML is false, wich is obviously not false and only the reality today.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-14 07:49 EDT

NahHolmes, np. I always like teaching noobs. Although with you I have been having some problems as it's very hard to teach anything.

by NahHolmes on 2009-06-14 08:15 EDT

So mtgsoldier it'd be kinda like that time SilverMcHowl won like 3 ext trials in a row with Naya aggro except Tuga won't cry about it because you are neighbors. Oh yeah winning a Vintage trial on M-L means so much anyways it must mean even more when you do it with an illegal deck. I like how everyone else is the idiot for not noticing 4x LED but Tugachampion put them in the deck and played all the way through the trial without noticing, who's the real idiot?

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-14 09:38 EDT

nahholmes: silver didn't win 3 ext trials. he won 1 and got 2nd in another one. And anyway mtgsoldier played the t2 deck by mistake while silver played the t2 deck because he was too lazy to add extended cards.

I'm not saying winning a vintage trials means much. It's just that all those morons claiming they are vintage pros failed to notice the illegal decklist. I'm not a vintage pro and winning this trial doesn't make me one. Not even a decent vintage player. I just don't care about it lol.

Anyway: I think it's because of nahholmes that wizards changed the combat because he never understood how the combat worked, they had to simplify it so that he understands. I tried to teach him the combat several times and he would never understand how the hell he could block with fanatic, trade with that x/1 and kill another x/1.

by wilier on 2009-06-14 10:48 EDT

People, please, take a look about all the trial's, top 8 master's, and even top 8 invitanional's portuguese players did in the last 3/2 month's. Was jus like about 2 months that the time change for everyone?

by Gerr on 2009-06-14 12:40 EDT

I hope these successful Portuguese players ran only one Black Lotus.

by TugaChampion on 2009-06-14 21:02 EDT

They run only 1 but that's because it wasn't vintage.
