this is the day that reminds me why i hate block with a passion.

by trueeevil on 2008-08-28 21:53 EST

um recumbent bliss worth it?

by Ironicus on 2008-08-28 22:12 EST

it remember me why I stoped magic.

by ZW on 2008-08-28 22:20 EST

ZOMG 3 Mistbind again...sigh...

by therorschach on 2008-08-28 22:37 EST

yeah man, i know. mistbind is the allstar. bitterblossom and mistbind, the dynamic duo.

by therorschach on 2008-08-28 22:38 EST

dr_stein.....

you are my clone. I am using the same deck about 3 cards difference in the sideboard. Isn't that weird?

we must have similar brains (or similar metagames) glad to see you did well too!

I keep coming in 4th at local events. I just can't break top 3.

by ZW on 2008-08-28 22:44 EST

The first place deck is so bad vs kithkin.

by Dr_Stein on 2008-08-28 23:18 EST

therorschach:

I took that list from PTQ Oldenburg and made a few changes in md an sb. Maybe u took that list from the same PTQ

by wisdomhappy on 2008-08-29 01:05 EST

what of that shaman list wouldent you side in vs fae?

what else is there to do?

by Dakh on 2008-08-29 01:53 EST

Go Kromos Yesterday i'm 3° and now you're 2° my is a good team....
Each tournament on each sb we have 1 purity too tech!!!

by Quantumdemon on 2008-08-29 03:05 EST

Congrats Justin, well done.

by therorschach on 2008-08-29 04:49 EST

nah, i had a standard red deck, and i just converted it to a block deck (really makes me miss incinerate, keldon maruaders, keldon megaliths and sulfurous blast) And its just been changin every FNM. I've been testing for the PTQ on the 30th. So here goes nothin.

I am going to look up Oldenburg right now.

odd choices he had. Cohort? weak. Boartusk in side? maybe for the mirror? other than that its a strong deck. it sad that red doesn't have a good solid 2 drop. Stigma lasher is probably the best thing. Wither is helpful with all the beef runnin around these days.

by shadow90 on 2008-08-29 04:54 EST

gogogogo Kromos

by Krastino on 2008-08-29 05:08 EST

Ehi Bobjackson, nice deck. Maindeck is the same as mine in the previous trial. This means that my deck is really strong if it has won 2 trial. Congratulations!!
Do you think Bliss is better than Crib Swap? I think it is nice and block 4 Doran, but u have to play it at sorcery speed...give me your explanations.
Thanks

by Shagrath on 2008-08-29 05:18 EST

This ,gps and block tournaments around the world still aren't a good proof for wizards to see that bitterblossom should be banned ?

by corbox on 2008-08-29 05:28 EST

ROFL at Wadl !

Siding Soul Snuffers playing a Faerie Deck is just LMAO !!!
I would be curious to know what does he change for it ? Bitterblossom maybe ? In that case the deck just sucks ... Bitterblossom is the best turn 2 drop in the format, that's mainly why we can see cards like Soul Snuffers appearing !

And the most incredible, that makes top 4 ! Greetings Wadl, I guess your luck salesman provided you some quality huh ?

by Tird_Ape on 2008-08-29 06:16 EST

Bitter blossom + bliss =!!!!!!

by kreff on 2008-08-29 06:16 EST

the faeries mirror is too random,u have blossom,me not? gg i think :(

by FilomathBret on 2008-08-29 06:36 EST

Ah bobjackson the cheater won a trial. Nobody play that guy rated outside of a tournament. He quit vs. me in the first game of a match and reported that he won 2-0. Then he ignored all my PMs. Others have also told me that they've heard of him doing this.

by Wadl[AUT] on 2008-08-29 07:22 EST

lol corbox. This card is amazing against Kithkins. Just because of this card i beat kithkins 3 times in a row. Without it i would have never got to the top 4. Anyway i like to trade 6 against 2.

by Krastino on 2008-08-29 07:43 EST

Wadl, is better Soul Snuffer, Sower or Stillmoon Cavaliers against Kithkin?? I have to play 2 oh those creatures...what would you suggest?
Thanks

by monkeywrench on 2008-08-29 09:42 EST

how can you run doran and 4mutavault 4primal beyond in the same deck?

by Murphy on 2008-08-29 10:02 EST

Fae is F**king unfair.

Please ban player's that draw 3x Mist. Clique on a roll

by BuckyKatt on 2008-08-29 12:37 EST

Bob Jackson's game was probably the only time I ever enjoyed playing against faeries. Close game, congrats on the win.

Bliss is very good and i don't see why ppl don't play the card more often. Its more versitle, b/c it does the same thing as crib swab against doran, BUT it actually gives you a game against RDW. Bliss is my main card against RDW, put that in resp to Gouger or Figure and your in pretty good position. Its also good, b/c bliss is rdy to play right when your opponent plays a spell thats threatening, like figure (4/4), gouger, colossus, doran, ect. I would recommend this deck for last ptqs for sure. From all the faerie lists i've tested, this is by far the my optimal one. Thanks to all my opponents for great matches.

by ZW on 2008-08-29 14:00 EST

But you play 3 mistbind and splash for cards that arn't needed.

by ZW on 2008-08-29 14:00 EST

double posttttttttttttttttttt

by Krastino on 2008-08-29 14:07 EST

I don't like Bliss because is sorcery...u can block a Doran and then ur opponent plays a Colossus...btw I'll test it...
Thanks Bob :D

by Dr_Nico on 2008-08-29 16:26 EST

Kinda nice you can't ever play a thoughtseize on the turn it counts most in the mirror. Nice tech!

by bobjackson on 2008-08-29 16:32 EST

Krastino, what game do u have against rdw if you don't have bliss and you just have a crib swab.

Dr_Nico, wispmare and bliss are too good not to have the splash, thoughtseize defentially gets hurt by not playing turn 1, but there are other ways to play the mirror besides bitter ftw, although it helps ^^.

by Krastino on 2008-08-29 18:06 EST

Bob - Where I play, in Italy, very few people plays RDW and I think that also wiht Bliss is no a really good MU. I prefer to dedicate space in side for the Tier 1 or very played deck.

De_nico - Not playing Duress on 1st turn hurts, but in this way u have 4 more answer to BB, and trust me that we play white 'cause we have a better percentages to win the mirror match...trust me, I made about 100 mirror and won the most because of Wispmare.

by curly on 2008-08-30 03:51 EST

and from this top 4 all is right in the world.........

by NanoWar on 2008-08-30 06:22 EST

Any Reason to play Flamekin Harbinger over Treefolk Harbinger? It seems that Leaf-Crowned Elder is more important than Rage Forger and Treefolk Harbinger is very good with Doran, can fetch Murmuring Bosk and you dont need to play red at all... You already have enough Elements for Primal Beyond. Maybe run 2 Flamekin Harbingers and 2 Treefolk. Not?

by Krastino on 2008-08-30 06:35 EST

Flamekin fetch for Thresher, Spitebellows and WIspmare...I think that this is the reason...right?

by Wadl[AUT] on 2008-08-30 15:13 EST

I dont like Stillmoon Cavaliers that much. They are pretty awesome in the mirror match but i don't like them against kithkins. They just run over him. I love Sower but i don't know if it's better then Soul Snuffer against Kithkins. But i prefer Sower.
