I'd like to mention: 4th place, Mono White Control again.

by CHRONICBL on 2008-08-26 20:14 EST

i went 5-0 then dropped because i already had invite and krastino asked nicely

by Acid_Christ on 2008-08-26 20:39 EST

Do I really see 4x Bitterblossom in the WW Kithkin?

by aldaryn on 2008-08-26 20:57 EST

Not a bad idea, but is 6 lands really enough to cast it?

by gypsy on 2008-08-26 21:01 EST

sure theres 6 sources to 4 cards.

by ZW on 2008-08-26 21:18 EST

mono white seems better as adding black makes the deck much slower and less consistent. You already have enough two drops.

by rdeg87 on 2008-08-26 21:38 EST

Yes but Bitterblossom is the best 2 drop in the format

by trueeevil on 2008-08-26 22:05 EST

Stole my list

by CHRONICBL on 2008-08-26 22:55 EST

stole YOUR list? lol what a joke I made this myself

by ZW on 2008-08-26 23:18 EST

But rdeg, it doesn't belong in the deck. Also, why are there 3 mistbind cliques in faeries...

by Acid_Christ on 2008-08-27 00:59 EST

Bitterblossom may actually prove useful in it though. I haven't done any testing, but what I can see from glacing over the list-

Goes well with Ajani. Lose a life every turn? Why not gain two as well. After you get a couple out, you can use the pump ability giving them all +1/+1 counters and vigilance.

I know they aren't Kithkin, but Mirror Entity with X says they are (and get pumped from Cenn).

Looks like it could have good synergy. But its just a great card in itself, so why not add it? Look at Tarmogoyf.

by okk_45 on 2008-08-27 01:42 EST

blossom is the best card in the format now everyone fear it mb no rdw but... nice add good job bud

by Krastino on 2008-08-27 04:41 EST

Hello everybody!!
This was my first trial and I began with a victory. I want to thank all my opponents, very polite and funny. I hope that all the tournaments will be like this one. Thanks to CHRONICBL that dropped for me.
Talking about my deck...
3 Clique are there because usually you want to see only one of them and they are really strong just against Kithkin or Doran; in fact I side them out against Faeries to put in Wispmare or Peppersmoke, that are so much better. Mirror is just about Blossom and Scion, so Wispmare and Peppersmoke are my solution. Crib Swap is there so solve problem like Doran, Colossus, Figure of Destiny, Thresher, Oona and other big stuff.
Unfortunately I don't have the patch for Eventide, so I couldn't test the Stillmoon Cavalier, that I think are really strong in Mirror and vs Kitkhin...I'd like to play at least 2 of them maindeck...someone that has tested them has some advices?
Thanks magicians

by Shagrath on 2008-08-27 05:39 EST

thats not ww kithkin.
Call it Bitterkin. :P

by Trotsky1 on 2008-08-27 09:34 EST

If every deck started splashing black for bitterblossomw wizards would have no choice but to ban it, Idea:)

by Dr_Nico on 2008-08-27 11:49 EST

3 clique is soo wrong in so many ways I can't even start. Also why fuck the mana with swap when you can run eyeblight's ending? I know the rfg is cool against manequin, but seriously why would you even want to screw your mana in favor of an allready nice matchup? Also Scion is like the first card you side against the mirror, it's useless in every way. Do you have the slightest about faeries or...?

by Duodax on 2008-08-27 12:52 EST

Don´t you need to win the Bitterblossom war with Scions???

by Dr_Nico on 2008-08-27 13:23 EST

It's only a win more card in the mirror, duh.

by Krastino on 2008-08-27 14:16 EST

Ehi Dr_Nico, I know what I say 'cause I've benn playing this deck for 3 months.
Why I play Crib Swap? Obviously for the scariest card of the format, Chameleon COlossus!! Have u ever heard? Eyeblight Ending...are you joking? If I play White I want Crib Swap.
Scion of Oona is ulesse? Sure...we both have blossom...but my tokens are bigger...who wins? I think the player with Scion...don't you?
Ask any pro and they will give you the same motivations as me.
Thanks

by ZW on 2008-08-27 14:57 EST

You usually want more than one clique...its how you beat doran and kithkin...

by Krastino on 2008-08-27 15:02 EST

Ah, and Crib Swap is far superior against Demigod.
Against Kithkin I have now Stillmoon Cavalier, that is too strong. I've tried it, and made me win a lot of games. 4 Clique is better I know, but I have no space...sorry...
What do u think if I take out all 4 Sower for 4 Stillmoon Cavalier?
Thanks

by PV on 2008-08-27 15:04 EST

scion is good, you obviously leave it in the mirror... I kinda wish people would be a bit more polite, even if they were right. When they are wrong, being disrespectful as that is just awful.

In my experience, stillmoon maindeck is bad as it's not very good vs anything other than kithkin.

I don't like not playing 4 mistbinds, though.

I'm also not a fan of white - I think playing t1 seize and your spells on a timely manner (after t1, there is no turn where you can play a tapped land safely) is more important than having wispmare.

by Krastino on 2008-08-27 15:26 EST

I never regret to play tapped land on 1st turn or later, also because havin Duress and black mana in your opening hand not always happens.
I have played a lot of mirror and the game was like "who plays BB first wins". Duress of 1st turn is good, but sometimes they topdeck BB. Luck is luck. I prefer having 4 more ways to win the mirror match...in Italy Faerie is 50% of the format, so playing Wispmare is really good imho.
Stillmoon is very good VS kithkin and also VS Faerie, if u can protect it from Sower. But if he stays in play u win easily I think.
Dont' you agree PV? What would you play?
Thanks

by sc4rs on 2008-08-27 15:30 EST

No Prison Term in the 4th place Mono-White deck with Idyllic Tutor? Really?

by ichiro51 on 2008-08-27 15:34 EST

no stillmoons in the mirror PV?

by ZW on 2008-08-27 15:40 EST

no more playgirl next month? time to nenew my subscription!

by Acid_Christ on 2008-08-27 18:40 EST

Trotsky1 - They haven't banned Tarmogoyf. And he is in EVERY format and in every deck with green. Or they splash for it.

I don't see how you say Krastino is ruining the mana base. Seems normal to me for block. Ive seen Faeries use the Vivid lands for Firespout.
