charliebrown on 2008-08-07 18:17 MST i can't believe i qualified for an invitational with that deck. lucky.
by Husapi on 2008-08-07 18:26 MST charliebrown by StarWizard on 2008-08-07 18:36 MST Wow T2 looks a hell of a lot like block :P by ZW on 2008-08-07 18:39 MST Kithkin is definentally favorable vs these decks, oddly, after looking through the decks, not many decided to play them. by aldaryn on 2008-08-07 19:33 MST Were you happy with your changes to ugb wizards? Sygg in particular, how was he? by Eiji on 2008-08-07 19:42 MST the most important change in the decklist is the burrento on sideboard, y put sygg because i thnik its great !!! protect the chameleon for commands and rejerrey for removals ... and its a pretty good drop 2 :) ... the rest its the same i cut the wake trasher because everybody plays kitkins so i tihnk taht play shriekmaw its best ... between 4 nameless, 2 shriekmaw, 3sowers, 3firespout and 2 plumeveil its a good match i beat to of that today :) ... then thougthseize are pretty good against toast ad fae ... mono reds deck are a problem but with burrenton its more easy... the manabase its the same ... cut 4 island for 4 wanderwine hub ... no problem with taht change ... and 1 more island for one more vivid land to cast the firespout on side :)
by Art on 2008-08-07 19:50 MST Starwizard: +1
by StarWizard on 2008-08-07 20:11 MST @Art: I was joking about the fact that this trial - clearly Block Constructed - is labeled Standard (T2) :)
by Eldariel on 2008-08-07 20:22 MST Seems like me and Flippi take turns uploading decks to wrong sections, and fixing each others' mistakes. Sowwy! by nightscare on 2008-08-07 20:42 MST I made top 8 with the kithfolk, i just got beat by vakers b/r sligh, not enough forge tender, too much shriekmaw. by aldaryn on 2008-08-07 20:48 MST I see the point in most of your choices. I'm not convinced about Thoughtseize vs. Faeries - I like the card, but it seems like its best use is to preemptively rip away Bitterblossom, and you can't do that easily with this manabase. Also, I really like Wake Thrasher but I see your point about it sucking vs. Kithkin. When I saw PV's list I had the same idea to include Hub and Sygg, so I'm glad to know it worked well. Is Burrenton really the best thing vs. Red? It's good vs. Firespout for sure, but would Kitchen Finks be better? I'm throwing out ideas, because I have no idea how to best build the side. Some others:
by trueeevil on 2008-08-07 20:50 MST Ripping away a bitterblossom will win you most games. by aldaryn on 2008-08-07 21:04 MST I know, which is why Thoughtseize loses its value vs. Faeries here. You can only play it turn 1 with Secluded Glen - the Reflecting Pools and 7 Vivids make things a little harder.
by Eiji on 2008-08-07 22:45 MST aldaryn: thoughtseize its a great card if you play in turn 3 or 4 too ... you can took out a command or mistbind clike vs fae ... against blossom have cloudthreasher and firespout ... today i defeat two kitkins decks thanks to the firespout ... i thinnk the cavalliers its great but its no sufficient, and respect the nakamuras deck... he play hallowed burial ;) i think this is for the kitkins ... so im not test the reveillark and the puppeter clike ... i think are 2 pretty good cards but like a told you before ... i spect a lot of kitkins and no toast ... but against toast i have 4 burrenton and 3 thoughtseize :) ... but its possible that a real decklist have the wake trahser in main and puppeter clike in side ... but burrenton its the most valauble card in my sideboard he beats alone the red decks ... block all his guys and save your creatures if you need ... burrenton and firespout against kitkins !!! by Weedmonkey on 2008-08-08 04:08 MST Sorry, but that top 4 is terrible, no two ways about it. Also Blaylock's list is Wizards and not Merfolk :/ by Jacois on 2008-08-08 08:34 MST Nice deck Vaker, very innovative. Looks like a strong deck for the meta. by Scuta04 on 2008-08-08 09:36 MST theres no reason you couldnt run wispmare instead of the thoughtseize in side... take the bitterblossom that way also any stupid creature enchants.. by onecleanceli on 2008-08-08 12:08 MST aye... wispmare gets rid of that blue enchant that fae use to steal creatures (name not coming to me right now sorry) by shadow90 on 2008-08-08 16:06 MST Mono Red with 2 cc2? Cool....aggro...
by idraleo on 2008-08-09 05:16 MST FLame Jab + NameLess = SkiLL by Chaosweaver on 2008-08-09 11:29 MST I think that BW should have a bit more removal in the sb, like Incremental Blight or Nameless or both. A lot of the decks you are prob worried about are wenneis anyways.. by RaiSalcedo on 2008-08-12 08:43 MST i think the wizards deck should have
by RaiSalcedo on 2008-08-12 08:46 MST maybe its better if the BW hybrid is much like mono black... more powerful! |
