I seem to be making a habit of scrubbing out vs. a very good match-up (Doran Rock this time) midway through by not drawing lands one game and drawing over half my deck's lands in top 20 the third.

Congrats to winners though. I can respect Goblins and Painter's Stone isn't a horrible deck either (although fragile - Needle is huge, and both, creature and artifact removal are efficient against it).


Funny - Top 2 were built in 5 minutes or less. Sideboards go to show it. I suppose they just evaded bad match-ups though. Dakh lost due to no show, btw.

Awesome Trial. I lost to lunarvoltage, his build was too controlish and i believed i was playing a more combo oriented list.

Lots of doran lists in the trial, not that many DS as i believed.

There was no way in hell for the 2nd deck to beat the goblins, seems like the 3rd had more chances.

3rd misbuilt side; we talked about it. Plagues can easily be added, and probably should. Likewise, Gobs should at least splash green off Wooded Foothills, Karplusan Forest and 1 normal Forest (for Foothills) for Naturalize - you can win through a Plague, but two is impossible.

nah, plague is too narrow for myos, it wont work against faeries for example. Propaganda seems better (yep not against fae).

I disagree. Goblins is your only real bad match-up and Plague hits it hard - one of the VERY few cards strong enough to turn a bad match-up into a good one single-handedly.

Also, Plague is good against Fae (I don't really know what you're saying; if Plague lands, it's far more scary for them than a Propaganda if it lands - both are 3-mana sorceries, and Plague just stops everything but Mutavault>Mistbind Clique, leaving them with effective 4 remaining threats unless they have multiple Scions in play), Elves and WW.

Maybe next time I'll remember to add Engineered Plagues to my sideboard >.< I missed a whole lot of other good cards too. Building a MYOS deck in a hurry does that sometimes :P

I believe that a better build of my deck would be really good in this format. My sideboard is just plain bad and the main deck could be built better too.

Honestly, not a fan of the Top 3. Stone just seems...bleh, and Goblins is uninventive, although it's high time that the proper build showed up some decent results (i.e. NOT LORWYN).

Still, nothing but respect for the top 2, as both are excellent players. GJ :)

1st I want to say thx for Eldariel, I think this is his merit that we at least know this fun format and haved three trials
2nd. I don't know as you all but, I want myos trial next weak.
3rd was starnge metagame I thought that willl be much more wake-dakes and surviaval-life

I was the lone Phantom Menace list, and I'm pointing this out to Eldariel for one reason and one reason only: he listed the wrong editions for it, and it's his list. o_o (it's OD/KA/10 o_o)

why is the countertop illegal? it's 6th-IA-KA i don't see the TS cards anywhere since CS is IA block. The deck is not stellar, but at least i believe is pretty original in this format.
Lost first round to faeries, next time im playing something with engineered plagues.

Brett: It plays Remand, Jitte and Counterbalance. That's Ravnica, Kamigawa and Ice Age. There are others; he apparently thought Coldsnap is a part of Ravnica.

Also, there's little need to go for originality in this format - build anything and it's likely to be original simply because of the low amount of exposure people have had to the formt and thus the low amount of decks built for it.


thedarkness: It was late when I was listing those. Some core sets may be wrong as they tend to be quite difficult, and sometimes even completely impossible, to tell apart.

Yeah I pulled a retard move and put in Wrath of Gods in my deck 2 minutes before sign ups were done..when I realized right after that I had Hailstorm in my block (had too little white and all games I was holding a wrath without being able to cast)

I confess that i was one of the critics of this format, but now that i've played MYOS a bit i've changed my opinion and it's nice to play.
Plz make more minis of it, and check for painter's servant + grindstone combo for a possible banning.
(And yes, i know that there are many ways to break the combo.)
